Winnies Hayloft sits on the brow of the hill in Bwlch on the road between Brecon and Crickhowell.
There are large sky-lights with lovely views across the valley to Llangynidr Mountain and down towards Crickhowell. There's an excellent circular walk starting from Bwlch around Llangorse Lake, the largest lake in South Wales. The village has a shop, post office, local pub and farm shop. Brecon 7 miles, Crickhowell is 7 miles.

What can I expect?

  • Welcome pack
  • Gas hob and an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge .
  • TV with SKY Freeview and DVD
  • The kitchen is well fitted with a gas hob and an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge.
  • Dining Table and chairs and a quarry tiled floor.  Upstairs to a light and airy sitting room with sofa and chair, TV with SKY Freeview and DVD.
  • There are large velux sky-lights with lovely views across the valley to Llangynidr Mountain and down towards Crickhowell.
  • The bedroom has a double bed with oak beams and oak floor.
  • There is a "wet room" with a shower, handbasin and toilet.
  • Behind the cottage is a small courtyard area with garden furniture and a BBQ.
  • Parking for unloading outside the cottage and a designated parking area just across the road.
  • Bedlinen and towels provided.
  • All electricity and gas central heating.
  • Pets on discussion with the owner - downstairs only.
  • Safe storage for mountain bikes etc. in an adjoining garage on discussion with the owner.
  • Good mobile reception. Welcome pack. Travel Cot and stairgates available. Wi-Fi.

From London and the South:

Take M4 over Severn Crossing or Bridge to Junction 24 (Newport) then north on A 449 to Raglan where you join the A 40 signed Abergavenny. From Abergavenny follow signs to Brecon (A40). We are located on the A40 Between Crickhowell and Brecon in the village of Bwlch. We are situated at the top of the hill on the right hand side.

From Birmingham and the North:

Follow M5 south to Junction 8 (M50) then follow M50 west until you pick up the A40 at Ross-on-Wye. Follow A40 past Monmouth to Raglan then follow signs to Abergavenny (A40). From Abergavenny follow signs to Brecon (A40). We are located on the A40 Between Crickhowell and Brecon in the village of Bwlch. We are situated at the top of the hill on the right hand side.

From West Wales:

Leave M4 at Junction 32 (Cardiff) then take the A470 signposted Merthyr Tydfil. Follow A470 to Brecon, upon reaching the Brecon round-about follow signs to Abergavenny (A40) for about 8 miles. We are located in the small village of Bwlch on the A40. We are situated at the top of the hill on the left hand side.
